Terms of service

1. Who we are

Flint & Fin is a trade name of VenturePanda LLC ("Flint & Fin", "we", "us", "our"). These terms apply to flintandfin.com and to every order placed on it. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to them. Questions: the Flint & Fin Customer Service Team, hello@flintandfin.com.

2. Made to order

Every print is produced after you order it, by our production partner, and shipped directly to you. We hold nothing in stock, which is why some of the terms below (cancellations, returns) differ from a shop that sells from a warehouse.

3. Products and appearance

Our prints are illustrations of real species, printed as giclées with pigment inks on 100% cotton fine art paper and, if you choose, framed. Screens show color differently, so the paper and ink on your wall can look slightly different from the images on the site. Room and frame images are illustrations of the product; small variations in frame grain, paper tone and print position are normal and are not defects.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are in US dollars and don't include shipping. Shipping and any applicable taxes are calculated at checkout, before you pay. We may change prices at any time; the price shown at checkout is the price you pay. If a product is listed at a clearly wrong price because of an error, we will contact you before producing the order and you may cancel for a full refund. Discounts, including set discounts, apply only as stated and can't be combined unless we say so.

5. Orders and cancellations

An order is accepted when we send the order confirmation email. We may decline or cancel an order (for example, a pricing error, suspected fraud, or an address we can't ship to); if we do, you receive a full refund. Orders go into production quickly, often within hours, so we can't guarantee that an order can be cancelled or changed. If you need to, email hello@flintandfin.com with your order number as soon as possible: if production hasn't started, we'll cancel it with a full refund. Once production has started, the order can't be cancelled.

6. Shipping and delivery

We currently ship within the United States. Production usually takes a few business days before the order ships; delivery estimates shown on the site or in emails are estimates, not guarantees. Please check your shipping address: if an order is returned to us because the address was incorrect or incomplete, or the package wasn't collected, we can reship it once you pay the shipping cost again. If tracking shows a package as delivered but you can't find it, contact us within 30 days and we will work with the carrier on a claim.

7. Damaged, defective or wrong prints

If your print arrives damaged, misprinted, defective, or isn't what you ordered, email hello@flintandfin.com within 14 days of delivery with your order number and a photo of the problem (and of the packaging, if it was damaged in transit). We will send a free replacement or, if you prefer, a refund. You don't need to send the item back unless we ask.

8. Returns

Because every print is made to order, we don't accept returns or exchanges for a change of mind, a wrong size or frame chosen at checkout, or because the print looks different on your wall than on your screen. This doesn't affect Section 7 or any rights you have under applicable law.

9. Commissions

Custom sizes, life-size prints of your catch, and new species are quoted individually by email. We send a proof before anything is printed, and production starts only after you approve it in writing. Approved commissions can't be cancelled or returned except under Section 7. You confirm that any photo or information you send us is yours to share, and you allow us to use it to make your commission.

10. Our artwork

All drawings, prints, photographs, text and other content on this site are owned by VenturePanda LLC or its licensors. Buying a print gives you the physical print only. It doesn't give you the right to copy, scan, reproduce, resell as artwork, or use the artwork commercially. Brief sharing of a photo of your print on your wall, with credit to Flint & Fin, is welcome.

11. Using the site

Don't misuse the site: no attempts to break or overload it, scrape it, or use it for anything unlawful. We may update, suspend or change the site and our product range at any time.

12. Liability

We supply prints for domestic and personal use. To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim relating to a product or order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled by the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
